S-VOX loses COO, shakes up executive team


TORONTO – S-VOX COO Peter Miller is leaving the multi-faith and multicultural television broadcaster, after only one year on the job, to pursue other opportunities.

Miller, a broadcasting professional with 20 years of industry experience, led the integration of the former Rogers OMNI over-the air television stations in Vancouver and Winnipeg (now known as Joytv), as well as internal restructuring efforts at the company.

In announcing Miller’s departure, president and CEO Bill Roberts also announced interim changes to the organization’s executive management team as follows:

– Mark Prasuhn, S-VOX’s chief content officer, will serve as COO while maintaining his existing responsibilities for content across all S-VOX properties and platforms. Prasuhn was previously COO of S-VOX from November 2001 through May 2008;

– Jane Macnaughton, CFO since 2001, will add operational and strategic planning responsibilities to her portfolio, including oversight of the organization’s technical facilities. Macnaughton handled these responsibilities previously in 2007 to 2008;

– Terry Markus, general counsel and board secretary is being promoted to the new role of executive vice president and general counsel, reporting directly to the CEO, with responsibility for legal, business affairs, and regulatory.  She will also lead key business development initiatives.
