S-VOX gets new legal, regulatory directors


TORONTO – S-VOX has named Du-Yi Leu as its new director of regulatory, government and stakeholder relations, and Catherine MacLean as director of legal services and board secretary.

Leu is responsible for mobilizing the organization’s key stakeholders, and building relationships with broadcasting policy makers. She joins the broadcast company, which owns VisionTV and other TV channels, from Alliance Atlantis, where she was manager of public and regulatory affairs since 2005.

A graduate of McGill University and the Schulich School of Business, Leu also worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as manager of planning, for the Canadian Television Fund as business analyst, and for the Toronto International Film Festival Group as public affairs and development co-ordinator.

From March 17, MacLean will be responsible for providing the organization with expertise on corporate, legal and governance issues.

For the past five years, she has worked as legal counsel for Indian and Northern Affairs Canada and the federal Department of Justice. She was also employed as senior manager of policy and legislation for the Ontario Ministry of Finance and worked for the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General.
