Running out of shows, CBS reloads in Canada

LOS ANGELES – CBS will broadcast a new CTV original Canadian drama series currently in pre-production as the American network has picked up Flashpoint (working title, a.k.a. Sniper) for broadcast in the U.S. later this year. With the U.S. TV writers’ strike still ongoing and with CBS and other broadcasters feeling the pinch of running multiple reruns and stocking the schedule with reality shows, those networks have turned their eyes to what stocks the prime time shelves up here.
