MONTREAL ? Astral radio station 107,3 Rouge fm launched its sixth annual Osez le donner (Dare to give) campaign today in support of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation.
This weekend, Rouge FM?s network of nine Quebec radio stations will promote themselves as Rose fm ? both on the air and online (rosefm.ca) ? to help raise funds for the foundation.
The radio stations have partnered with arts and crafts retailer DeSerres, and will also invite listeners to drop off their bras at DeSerres stores throughout Quebec on May 4 and 5. For each bra collected, DeSerres will donate $1 to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, up to a total of $150,000. The retailer will also donate 3% of its in-store sales throughout Quebec this weekend to foundation. DeSerre will continue to collect the bras at 11 of its greater Montreal area locations until May 26.
Quebec singer Marilou joins Rouge fm as an ambassador for this year?s campaign. The station will debut her new song, Tu partages ton corps, today, and part of the proceeds from sales of the song will be donated to the foundation.
Since 2008, Rouge fm has helped raise more than $750,000 for the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation through its Osez le donner campaign.
