CAMBRIDGE and SARNIA, ON – Rogers said Wednesday that it has completed wireless improvements in the Ontario cities of Cambridge and Sarnia as part of its multi-year network plan to bring gigabit LTE and 5G to its customers.
Rogers and Fido customers will now have a faster, more reliable and consistent wireless experience around Dundas Street and Franklin Boulevard in Cambridge, and around Modeland Road and Michigan Line in Sarnia.
Rogers added that the enhancements are part of its plan to bring “gigabit LTE network and 5G with future-ready technology and equipment that is based on the latest global 3GPP standards, including 4×4 MIMO, four-carrier aggregation and 256 QAM.”
As Cartt.ca reported in April, Rogers is working with Ericsson on its 5G deployment, and, as part of this plan, will continue to boost and densify its network with small cells and macro sites across the country.
