TORONTO — Branded Cities, a leading out-of-home (OOH) media company, today announced it has signed a new long-term agreement with Rogers Sports and Media to re-develop the Rogers Tower (above) which houses its Citytv studio in downtown Toronto.
The tower overlooks Yonge-Dundas Square, located in the heart of Toronto at the busy intersection of Yonge and Dundas streets. Rogers first acquired the tower at 33 Dundas St. E. in 2007 as the new home of the company’s Citytv and OMNI Television stations.
A complete overhaul of the Rogers Tower will begin in the third quarter of 2021, where Branded Cities will install a 34-foot-wide by 90-foot-high digital display (more than 3,000 square feet of digital signage) offering 10-second ad spots over a three-minute loop.
“The addition of this asset will add tremendous value to the extensive opportunities available at Yonge & Dundas and we look forward to working closely with Branded Cities, their clients, and our iconic brands to bring the square to life,” said Alan Dark, senior vice-president of revenue at Rogers Sports and Media, in a press release.
This marks Branded Cities’ fourth media acquisition at the Yonge and Dundas intersection. Using its portfolio of media assets overlooking Yonge-Dundas Square, Branded Cities will be able to offer brands the ability to sync their campaigns in real-time across the company’s Y&D Digital Network, says the release.
