Rogers to launch new Toronto-focussed news channel

TORONTO – In addition to a slate of new programming on its Citytv network, Rogers Media also announced plans to launch a new local news channel in Toronto to be called CityNews Channel.Available to digital cable subscribers in October, the new station will offer “an enriched and interactive screen format”, the company said.
