Rogers’ small business customers may work where and how they want

TORONTO – Rogers says that it wants to help Canadian small businesses create greater flexibility for their workforces with its Rogers Unison mobile solution.

Launched last year, Rogers Unison uses a web portal to allow small businesses customers to connect with customers and employees regardless of location.  It also supports how small businesses work by offering the features of a traditional phone system across multiple devices – including mobile phones, desk phones, laptops and tablets – all synced to one phone number.

New key features for small businesses include call pull, which allows calls to be moved between devices, from a mobile to a desk phone or vice versa, without ever disrupting the call; and receptionist console that allows calls to be received and directed to other employees from a desk phone or mobile phone, making sure a call is never missed.

“Our research shows that employees don’t want to be tied to a desk anymore – they want technology that lets them collaborate with their colleagues no matter where they are and on the device that works for them,” said Matthew Leppanen, GM of business collaboration for Rogers Enterprise, in the news release.  “The small businesses that do offer this see greater engagement and productivity from their employees. We want to work alongside small businesses to help them deliver these outcomes.”
