Rogers signs new long-term agreement as exclusive telecom partner of Toronto Pearson Airport

Rogers and Toronto Pearson Airport announced last week a new multi-year agreement renewing Rogers as the exclusive telecom partner of the airport.

The renewed partnership promises to deliver new technology, connectivity and passenger experiences across Toronto Pearson’s terminals, with enhancements rolling out in phases beginning later this year.

Those enhancements include new sports, entertainment and branded experiences, “reimagined” business pods powered with the latest technology to support productivity and comfort, and next-generation portable charging solutions to keep passengers connected throughout their travel journey, according to a Rogers press release.

“We’re building on our strong relationship with Toronto Pearson to bring even more innovation, connectivity and entertainment to improve the overall passenger experience,” Tony Staffieri, Rogers president and CEO, said in the company’s press release.

Under the agreement, Rogers will receive brand integration throughout high-traffic areas of the airport, offer interactive touchpoints for travellers, and collaborate with Toronto Pearson on future-focused initiatives that elevate operations and customer service, Rogers said.

Rogers will also receive exclusive telecommunications branding and advertising rights throughout the airport’s terminals.

“We’re thrilled that our competitive bidding process resulted in a new agreement with Rogers, which extends our relationship and will reinvent technology and communications experiences to bring new innovations and experiences to our passengers,” Deborah Flint, president and CEO of Toronto Pearson, said in a statement. “At Toronto Pearson, we’re partnering with best-in-class providers to make travel easier and more enjoyable. By integrating advanced technology, enhancing connectivity and designing thoughtful spaces, we’re creating smoother, more seamless journeys.”

Rogers’s telecom partnership with Toronto Pearson Airport dates back to 2019.
