Rogers said Tuesday it has relaunched Rogers 5G Home Internet with a new, more affordable price of $50 per month, connecting subscribers to home internet service over the Rogers 5G network.
The plug-and-play Rogers 5G Home Internet service allows customers to get set up easily themselves without needing to book an installation with a technician, Rogers says.
“It’s easy — simply unbox the device, follow a few easy steps, and within minutes your home is connected to the internet. A step-by-step mobile app helps you find the best place in your home for a reliable connection,” according to information on Rogers’s website.
The service comes with a Nokia FastMile 5G Home Internet device that, once an accompanying SIM card is inserted, automatically connects to the Rogers mobile network and converts the wireless signal into a Wi-Fi signal accessible by the devices in the customer’s home.
If 5G coverage isn’t available in the customer’s area, the 5G Home Internet device will connect to the Rogers 4G/LTE network where available, Rogers says.
The company says the service is a great option for seniors, students, newcomers to Canada who are just getting settled, seasonal cottage owners, rural residents, and people who go camping and RVing.
