Rogers raising US$1.5 billion

TORONTO - Rogers Communications said Wednesday evening that it has priced a US$1.5 billion underwritten public offering of debt securities. The offering consists of US$850 million aggregate principal amount of 4.1% senior notes due 2023 and US$650 million aggregate principal amount of 5.45% senior notes due 2043. The net proceeds from the issuance of the debt securities will be approximately US$1.481 billion, said the company’s press release, which are expected to be used for general corporate purposes.
