Rogers now covers 130 communities with 5G

TORONTO — Rogers Communications announced today it has doubled the size of its 5G network to reach residents and businesses in 130 towns and cities across the country.

Previously, as recently as early September, Rogers had said it would expand its 5G network to reach more than 60 markets by the end of the year.

Powered by Ericsson, Rogers 5G wireless service is available exclusively on Rogers Infinite and Rogers for Business Shared Unlimited Data plans at no extra charge.

“We’re excited to roll out 5G to more communities large and small so that Canadians can use the latest 5G devices to their full potential,” said Brent Johnston, president of wireless at Rogers Communications, in a press release.
