TORONTO – Today, Rogers Communications will start bringing its products right to its customers.
Rogers Pro On-the-Go is a new, personalized retail service which aims to make buying a wireless device more convenient, and easy. Within hours of ordering, a connected solutions pro will meet a customer at their time and location of choice, with their device, and will set it up for them based on their preferences.
Launching first with phones and to current Rogers wireless customers in the GTA, Rogers Pro On-the-Go brings “the store to your door,” all at no extra cost, says the press release.
This should be quite familiar to the company which has been delivering television and the required devices directly to customers for decades.
The new process will see customers order a phone, specify any location in the Rogers Pro On-the-Go service area, and a Rogers rep will meet them with their new device at the customer’s preferred time. The Rogers’ “pro” can then walk a customer through their plan options, set-up their device, transfer applications, sync contacts, explain device features and offer cases, headsets and smart assistants, explains the release.
“We know how valuable our customers’ time is and getting to a store is not always convenient or easy,” said Brent Johnston, president of wireless, in the release. “This is about making it easier for customers to get the connected device they want in a way that’s convenient and personalized for them.”
This initiative is powered by Enjoy, which has collaborated with the likes of AT&T, Google, Sonos, EE, and British Telecom. It is working exclusively with Rogers in Canada
Rogers Pro On-the Go is rolling out to GTA neighbourhoods starting late October and expanding to other major centres in 2020. It will also expand to Rogers connected home services next year.
