TORONTO – Over the years, Chatelaine magazine has extended its brand across different media. Today the Rogers-owned publication announced it is taking on a new platform with the launch of the two-hour Chatelaine Radio show on Sunday, July 21.
Teaming up with Rogers Media radio stations in Toronto, Calgary and Kitchener, Ont., the new radio show featuring Canada’s largest women’s lifestyle brand will air every Sunday on 98.1 CHFI at 7 p.m. ET, Lite 95.9 at 8 a.m. MT, and on CHYM 96.7 and Country 106.7 at 6 p.m. ET.
The Chatelaine Radio show will feature two hours of music and entertaining lifestyle content. As part of the show, listeners will also hear from the magazine’s team of experts including health editor Laurie Jennings, food editor Claire Tansey, assistant fashion editor Tyler Franch, and other guest contributors such as Chatelaine editor-in-chief Jane Francisco.
With this new launch, the iconic magazine becomes a six-platform brand, available in print, online, television, tablet, mobile, and now radio. Chatelaine’s expansion to radio follows last year’s launch of the Chatelaine Edition on City’s Cityline program.
“One year ago, we expanded to television with the Chatelaine Edition on City’s Cityline. The success of that endeavour gives us confidence that our audience and advertisers will also embrace the Chatelaine experience on radio,” said Chatelaine publisher Tara Tucker in a release.
“Chatelaine is committed to helping our audience ‘make the everyday extraordinary’ no matter their favoured platform, and speaking with them through our Rogers radio stations gives us another opportunity to reach our audiences and deliver our content.”
The Chatelaine Radio show will be hosted by different anchors at each radio station: by Taylor Kaye on 98.1 CHFI in Toronto; Billie Jo Ross on Lite 95.9 in Calgary; Tara Connors on CHYM 96.7 in Kitchener; and Jennifer Campbell on Country 106.7, also in Kitchener.
Sunday’s debut premiere episode will feature advice on how to cook up quick and delicious meals, must-have fashion items for the season, tips on how to keep healthy and active, as well as the latest trends in home décor.
