CALGARY – Rogers Communications is increasing its LTE coverage in Lethbridge and between Banff and Calgary to provide Rogers and Fido customers with faster speeds and more seamless network connectivity.

Rogers said Monday that it is expanding its wireless service at the new ATB Centre in West Lethbridge, in residential Lethbridge, and along the Trans-Canada Highway between Banff and Calgary.

Specifically, a new cell tower in West Lethbridge now provides Rogers wireless service in the 42,000 square foot city's recreation complex as visitors take in regional, provincial, and national ice competitions, attractions, and special events.  Residents and businesses in the Mayor Magrath Drive and 20 Ave. South part of Lethbridge now benefit from better access to faster wireless LTE speeds, while travellers along the Trans-Canada Highway now have seamless wireless service between Banff and Calgary, with new coverage extending to Morley and Cheneka.

"Our customers want to be able to connect to the people and things they love, no matter where they are," said Rogers' EVP wireless services Raj Doshi, in the news release.  "That's why we're investing to make sure they have worry-free, reliable access to our great-performing network in more places. As communities across the province keep growing, we're going to continue to invest in improving service across Alberta."
