Rogers expands phone program for women’s shelters in Prairie and Atlantic provinces


CALGARY, WINNIPEG and MONCTON — Rogers Communications announced today it has expanded its phone and plan program to support more vulnerable women and children using shelters and transition houses in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

In all regions, Rogers has increased its support from last year. In Alberta, Rogers is donating phones and wireless plans to more than 30 women’s shelters and transition houses in Rogers wireless coverage areas in the province during the third wave of the pandemic. In Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Rogers is donating phones and plans to 25 women’s shelters, and in the Atlantic provinces Rogers is donating devices and plans to 30 shelters.

In April, Rogers announced it was expanding its phone program for women’s shelters in Ontario and British Columbia.

The Rogers phone donation program is being provided in collaboration with Motorola and LG.
