VANCOUVER – Roam Mobility said that it is offering North America’s lowest priced prepaid service for Canadians travelling to the U.S. this winter.

For $19.95 per month (or 67 cents a day), the Snowbird Talk + Text plan includes unlimited nationwide talk, global text, and long distance calls to Canada.  For those requiring data, Roam is doubling the amount of its high-speed, 4G LTE data in the Snowbird Talk+Text+Data plan to 2GB per month, which is priced at $39.95 a month (or $1.33 a day).

To take advantage of the plans, travelers must purchase the Roam SIM Card for their existing unlocked phone, activate it online, and schedule when they wish to start their service for a three month period. When users return to Canada, the SIM card goes into a suspended state with no account suspension fees.

Customers travelling to the U.S. for shorter periods for business or vacation may purchase unlimited daily plans which are $1.95, $2.95 or $3.95 a day, depending on the required service.

“This year we’ve seen U.S. roaming rates come down thanks to certain carriers that are claiming to have the best price on roaming, so we encourage Canadians to read the fine print when looking for a U.S. roaming plan or find a more affordable service like Roam Mobility,” said Roam Mobility founder and CEO Emir Aboulhosn, in the news release.  “Roam Mobility provides transparent and straightforward plans – leaving our over 100,000 Canadian customers with one less thing to think about during their travels.”

The Roam SIM Card and other Roam Mobility products may be purchased online or at over 2,300 locations across Canada, including convenience stores, airports, duty-free stores, electronics retailers and travel stores.
