VANCOUVER – Independent roaming provider Roam Mobility has launched what it describes as the first dedicated wireless service for visitors to Canada.

The company said Friday that international travellers may now purchase a local SIM card preloaded with plans ranging from 1 to 3 weeks of unlimited nationwide talk, unlimited global text messaging, 500MB of 4G LTE data, plus voice mail, caller ID, call waiting and hotspot tethering.  Users also receive a dedicated Canadian phone number.

The SIM cards, which can be inserted into any unlocked phone, are priced at US$26.95 for seven days, US$37.95 for 14 days and US$49.95 for 21 days.  All plan prices include the SIM card for free, and no additional fees to activate or access the network.

Roam Mobility's Canada Travel SIMs can be ordered online now and will be available soon at retail locations in Canada and worldwide.
