TORONTO — The new HBO Max Original Series from director Ridley Scott, Raised by Wolves, will premiere Thursday, September 3 on Bell Media’s Crave as well as its CTV Sci-Fi channel, Bell Media announced Tuesday.
Bell Media previously announced the 10-episode series was coming to Crave and CTV Sci-Fi this fall, but confirmed today it will debut in Canada on the same day as its U.S. premiere on HBO Max.
After its September 3rd debut, subsequent episodes of Raised by Wolves will be available on Crave on Thursdays. CTV Sci-Fi is airing a sneak-peek premiere on Sept. 3 at 9:30 p.m. ET, with the season continuing to unfold on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET beginning September 4.
Scott serves as an executive producer on the series and directed the first two episodes, which marks his television series directorial debut for North American audiences, says the news release. The series was created by writer Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners), who also serves as showrunner and an executive producer.
“Ridley Scott is a master storyteller and we’re thrilled to deliver his latest sci-fi project to Canadian audiences,” said Tracey Pearce, president of distribution and pay at Bell Media, in the release. “With elements of drama, intrigue, humanity, and conflict, Raised by Wolves is the perfect show for Crave subscribers to dig into this fall.”
Raised by Wolves centres on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As religious differences threaten to tear apart the growing colony of humans, the androids learn that controlling humans’ beliefs is a treacherous and difficult task.
