REV TV to air Honda Indy Toronto press conference Thursday

BURLINGTON, Ont. — Motorsports channel REV TV announced today it will provide live coverage of the Honda Indy Toronto welcome press conference this Thursday as the NTT IndyCar Series racing event makes its long-awaited return to Toronto this weekend after being cancelled for the last two years due to the global pandemic.

The press conference will broadcast live on REV TV at 12:30 p.m. ET on July 14, as well as on the official Honda Indy Facebook page and hondaindy.com. In addition, replays of the press conference will air during primetime on July 14 and 15 on REV TV. The channel is on nationwide free preview for the month of July.

“The triumphant return of a Toronto tradition kicks off with the welcome press conference and will feature NTT IndyCar Series drivers Simon Pagenaud (the 2019 race winner) and Canadians Dalton Kellett and Devlin DeFrancesco,” reads a press release.

“NASCAR Pinty’s driver L.P. Dumoulin, Reece Gold from Indy Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires, Myles Rowe from Cooper Tires U.S. F2000 Championship in addition to other support series will also be featured,” the release adds.

The one-hour live press conference will be hosted by Todd Lewis, host of REV Culture.

“REV TV has had great success broadcasting the Road to Indy and working with IndyCar and Penske Entertainment Corp. over the past few years and we are so excited to have NTT IndyCar Series back in our backyard,” said Mike Garrow, CEO of REV TV, in the press release.

“Green Savoree Racing Promotions put on some of the best races in the world, and broadcasting the Honda Indy Toronto Welcome Press Conference live is an exciting opportunity to show our viewers an intimate look at the drivers and organizers of one of Canada’s most important race weekends,” Garrow added.

The press conference broadcast will be produced as part of the strategic partnership announced in February between REV TV and Performance Productions Media Group (PPMG).

“PPMG has been a sponsor of the Honda Indy Toronto and Green Savoree Racing Promotions since 2009, and we’re thrilled to see the event finally return to the lakeshore,” said Tim Rutledge, PPMG president and executive producer. “We’re excited to provide the opportunity for fans at home in Toronto and beyond to see this event and ask their own questions to Todd and the drivers.”
