Retirement Living TV extends into Canada

COLUMBIA, MD – Retirement Living TV (RLTV), the first network created for people aged 55 and over, has announced its first international distribution agreement – with S-Vox, Canada’s foremost provider of multimedia content on spirituality and personal growth, whose primary asset is is Vision TV.

Retirement Living TV content will be distributed on S-VOX’s One: the Body, Mind & Spirit channel starting in June, and on VisionTV beginning in the fall. In addition, RLTV and S-VOX will co-produce content specifically for Canadian viewers.

RLTV launched its slate of programming in the U.S. in September 2006 with content designed to inform, involve, and inspire seniors by offering information on finances, health and fitness, politics and social issues, media, and entertainment.

RLTV’s four-hour block of programming is currently available in more than 26 million U.S. homes, and its audience will increase with the eight million Canadian households that receive VisionTV on basic cable, as well as the million-plus homes that subscribe to One on digital.

Launched in 2001, One: the Body, Mind & Spirit channel offers unique programming from around the world devoted to wellness, personal growth and spiritual health.

VisionTV, founded in 1988, is Canada’s multi-faith and multicultural television broadcaster, and has a 20-year history of leadership in working with Canadian independent producers to create award-winning factual programming.

“We are excited about the strategic alliance between RLTV and S-VOX,” said RLTV president Brad Knight. “As we continue to build the network’s brand, it is imperative that we grow our audience, expand our reach into international territories, and seek opportunities to further increase our impact on television today.”
