MONTREAL — Quebec-based independent broadcaster Remstar Media announced today the appointment of Marie-Hélène Potvin (above) as head of the company’s channels, Elle Fictions and Max.
The company also unveiled a new structure for its Content & Programming and Communications & Marketing teams.
The news comes two years after the creation of Remstar Media, whose owner Maxime Rémillard retained ownership of Elle Fictions and MAX after his company Groupe V Média sold off its other channel assets, including the V television network (now Noovo), to Bell Media in 2020.
“Marie-Hélène has a clear strategic vision and a sense of innovation that will allow us to improve internal efficiency and continue the evolution of our channels,” said Isabelle Legris, vice-president and general manager of Remstar Media, in a press release.
“She has a results-oriented leadership, and her understanding of our brands and our audience will be valuable assets in her new role. This will allow the specialty channels Elle Fictions and MAX to continue to stand out in Quebec,” Legris said.
As head of Remstar Media channels, Potvin will be responsible for programming strategy, content acquisition and marketing, the press release explains.
Under her supervision, Remstar Media’s newly structured team consists of the following people:
- Caroline Ratelle, programming schedule manager
- Mireille Santerre, project manager, content and programming (MAX)
- Amélie Bouita, project manager, content and programming (Elle Fictions)
- Kelly-Ann Ferrari, project manager, communications and marketing (MAX)
- Roxanne Normandin, project manager, communications and marketing (Elle Fictions)
- Arianne Aubry-Longval, liaison officer
- Priscilla Martel, liaison officer, programming (temporary position)
“This new team is now responsible for developing integrated programming and communications strategies to improve our channels’ positions within the market,” the release says.
