TORONTO – Broadcast veteran Reiner Schwarz will turn his talents back to music radio broadcasting for JAZZ.FM91 where he will anchor the hours from dark to dawn, beginning Friday, November 11th.
In a unique departure from pre-recorded Friday night programming, Schwarz will share his love of jazz and his often offbeat philosophical views on life in general, live from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday (with an encore presentation of Friday night’s first two hours of the show from 4:00 to 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning).
The announcement came from Ross Porter, president and CEO of JAZZ.FM91, who said that Friday night late-night programming has been reformatted to continue to build on the station’s steadfast commitment to serve the broad interests and information appetites of the Toronto radio station’s listeners, while continuing to satisfy their preference for jazz music.
“In the entertainment industry, Reiner Schwarz is widely recognized as a one-man ‘tour de force’,” Porter said. “He is one of the most innately curious and intelligent thinkers I know, with a mind that moves along creative paths that promise to offer unique new perspectives on the way our world works for late-night listeners.”
