TORONTO – Canada's only national digital media conference focused on the commercialization of innovation, CDMN Canada 3.0, is now taking registrations. Those registering before February 1, 2013 can take advantage of early bird pricing.

The conference hosted by the Canadian Digital Media Network (CDMN) takes place May 14 & 15, 2013 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and is emceed by Amber Mac. It features world-class speakers like best-selling authors and digital media experts Chris Anderson and Jane McGonigal talking about issues from entrepreneurship to talent development, attracting investment to gamification. The event also showcases and celebrates Canadian achievements in the commercialization digital media to prospects, partners and funders from Canada as well as international markets.

As previously announced, Canada 3.0 2013 will be co-located with the Grand 2013 conference, which will further increase industry-university networking at Canada 3.0. We are incorporating the best elements of traditional conferences and utilizing the latest digital media platforms to source exceptional and unique content for CDMN Canada 3.0 2013.

Through its crowdsourcing platform, Canada 3.0's SoapBox is reaching out to Canadian companies to share their success stories. If you have an idea for a session that celebrates Canadian capacity in digital media – whether you're a startup or small- to medium-sized business in the tech sector that's successfully commercialized your innovation or a non-tech sector organization that's improved productivity, capacity or profitability by implementing technology, you can post your SoapBox Session idea, where attendees can vote to make your session part of the official program on May 15.

In addition to deploying SoapBox, CDMN has launched Pathable for CDMN Canada 3.0 2013, which enables attendees to create and view their conference schedule, check the availability of fellow attendees, request meetings and, as programming is finalized, register to attend roundtable mentoring sessions on the Moonshot 5 categories of productivity, connectivity, access to capital, access to talent and the mobilization of digital content. Successful completion of conference registration will trigger automatic registration for Pathable.

Canada 3.0 will be an opportunity for network members to come together to share best practices, highlight successes and make connections that will drive company, job and wealth creation. New to the network is the Sault Ste Marie Innovation Centre, Tech South East (Moncton), WETech (Windsor), Innovation Factory (Hamilton), NWO Innovation (Thunder Bay), and NORCAT (Sudbury).
