Topics to be explored will include:
- Location data: potential and pitfalls
- Artist compensation in a streaming world
- Communications law and the courts
- Communications law and copyright
- Competition and privacy
- Access to infrastructure for broadband deployment
- Network security vs. personal freedom
- Public interest participation in regulatory proceedings
- Digital platform regulation
The conference program has been designed to enable Ontario lawyers to claim accreditation for nine hours of continuing professional development as well as three hours of professionalism and equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) hours.
Approaches are being made to other provincial bar associations for accreditation and updates will be posted as they become available.
