Red Deer stations raise almost half a million for charity

RED DEER, Alta. – The Newcap radio stations in Red Deer, Z99 and CKGY, have raised more than $492,000 for the Regional Rehabilitation Unit at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre with its Festival of Trees fundraiser. Staff welcomed guests at the Tribute Tree. For $2, the public wrote their Christmas wish on stars hanging on the 20-foot tree. The tree now stands at the hospital throughout the holiday season.
