OTTAWA – Radio Canada International announced this week that four new partner radio stations will soon join the 350 local stations currently broadcasting Radio Canada International programming around the globe.
By November 15, the daily RCI show Le Canada en direct vers l’Afrique will be heard by hundreds of thousands of new listeners on:
• Radio Lomé, Togo’s national radio station
• Radio Muungano in the Democratic Republic of Congo
• Radio Louvakou in Congo Brazzaville
• Radio Séko in Mali.
The first three stations are partners of one of the biggest international broadcasters, Deutsche Welle, with whom RCI shares close ties.
Radio Canada International is CBC/Radio-Canada’s international radio service. RCI broadcasts diverse programming in nine languages for listeners worldwide, and can be heard via satellite, shortwave, as well as the Internet at www.RCInet.ca.
RCI will soon be available in Canada on the new station RCI + through Sirius Canada satellite radio.
