TORONTO – Radioplayer, the pan-industry-backed (except for Bell Media radio stations which are all iheartradio) online platform, announced today it is working with Spanish broadcasters to launch Radioplayer España.

This means hundreds of Spanish stations will be available on the Radioplayer España iPhone and Android apps, on the web player, in the Alexa skill, on Sonos and BOSE speakers, Google Cast, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Smart Device Link, and many more integrations.

Spain is the 12th country to join Radioplayer. “Thousands of broadcasters are now working together through Radioplayer, to keep radio strong in cars and home devices,” said Radioplayer managing director Michael Hill, in a press release.

The 12 countries it operates in are: U.K., Germany, Spain, Canada, Ireland, Austria, Norway, Belgium, Switzerland, Peru, and Denmark, with Italy about to launch. Radioplayer Worldwide is a global shared radio platform and a partnership between U.K. Radioplayer and the countries which have rolled out the Radioplayer model.
