Radio veteran Lurie named COO at Newfoundland Capital, replacing retiring Murray


DARTMOUTH - David J. Murray is retiring from his position as chief operating officer of Newfoundland Capital Corporation and will be replaced by former Bell Media exec Ian Lurie.Murray, who has been with the company for 25 years, including the last eight as COO, will be retiring effective June 30.  Tuesday’s announcement said that Murray “has been an integral part of the growth and success of the company.”Lurie, pictured, will step in to the COO role beginning July 6, 2015.  His radio broadcasting background includes 19 years at Standard Radio, six years at Astral Radio, and, most recently a stint as...
