
MONTREAL – CBC and Radio-Canada Distribution, along with production company KOTV today announced they have signed a licensing agreement for the format of the popular Quebec-based series 14 Thousand Million Things to Know, with French production company R&G Productions .
The series was originally released on Ici Tou.tv in March 2019, and currently airs Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. on Ici Radio-Canada Télé. Financial terms of the licensing deal were not disclosed.
“The show’s format is a perfect fit for the producer, and we’re confident this refreshingly quirky series will enjoy a successful run in France,” said KOTV producer Louis-Philippe Drolet.
14 Thousand Million Things to Know is a magazine show where Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais, Pier-Luc Funk, Gabrielle Fontaine and Anna Beaupré-Moulounda, “invite young viewers to follow them on a zany quest – to draw up a list of the ‘fourteen thousand million things’ you need to know,” reads the press release.
Season one consisted of 35 fifteen-minute episodes and season two is currently in production.
