MONTREAL — Quebecor today announced the appointment of two new executives at its Colab Studio collaborative marketing agency.
Sébastien Viau (pictured, left) has been hired as general manager and Hugues Choquette (right) is promoted to senior director of branding strategy and head of creative of Colab Studio.
Viau will oversee the development of Colab Studio’s strategic plan and will be in charge of rolling out the agency’s activities. His appointment will be effective on November 23, and follows the announcement of current general manager Robert Renaud’s retirement.
Before joining Quebecor, Viau was vice-president of sales and marketing for the Alliance de l’industrie touristique du Quebec. He previously worked for the Publicis and Nurun agencies, and is known for his expertise in marketing strategies, multichannel marketing campaigns, marketing communications, digital transformation and multi-disciplinary team management, says the press release announcing his appointment.
Choquette has been with Quebecor since 2015, and in his new role at Colab Studio he will be in charge of the creative side of the team dedicated to Videotron and Fizz, now that Quebecor has recently chosen to cater to its creative services needs internally, says the release. Choquette’s appointment is already in effect.
Choquette’s previous positions include working for the Cossette and Tam-Tam/TBWA agencies, and some of the major accounts he has worked on include Apple, McDonald’s, University of Montreal, Molson and Nissan/Infiniti.
