MONTREAL – Former TVA show Les Beaux Malaises (2013-16) has been sold for adaptation by Encore International and Quebecor Content to Serbian producers Fresh Production and Blekbuk.
“Commissioned by Telekom Serbia for broadcast in the Balkans, Fresh Production and Blekbuk just completed the adaptation of all three seasons (33 half-hour episodes) of the original series Les Beaux Malaises, known in the region as Slatke Muke,” says the press release.
“The entire Encore team is excited to see Les Beaux Malaises being adapted in the Balkans,” says Chrystine Girard, Encore’s head of international distribution. “With Telekom, Blekbuk, Fresh Production, and the amazing cast they’ve brought on board, we’re confident that the local audience will fall in love with this adapted series as much as the Québec audience did with the original.”
Filming of Slatke Muke started last June in Belgrade and will stream on Telekom owned Superstar TV beginning on December 9, 2019.
The show had previously been picked up by Netflix and adapted in France for M6 with French celebrity Franck Dubosc as the lead character and is a 35-time award-winning hit series, adds the release.
