Quebecor expands partnership with electronic equipment recovery program

MONTREAL – Quebecor and Videotron have upped their support for Jour de la Terre Québec’s ‘Allo la Terre!’ program that encourages Quebecers to dispose of electronic equipment in an environmentally responsible manner. Created in 2008, the program recycles components of mobile handsets that are broken or no longer used and safely disposes of hazardous substances.  In addition to handsets, consumers may dispose of cables, connectors, chargers, remote controls, tablets, batteries and accessories, and starting next July, will also accept set-top boxes, digital receivers and computer equipment.
