
MONTREAL — Quebecor announced Monday some major structural changes for its Quebecor Content and TVA Group divisions.
In order to focus on creating, increasing the volume and exporting original content from Club illico, TVA and its specialty channels, Quebecor Content will now be entirely dedicated to original content around the teams of vice-president Denis Dubois and Yann Paquet, vice-president of strategy and international affairs for Quebecor Content.
As for the management of TVA brands and specialty channels and the brand deployment strategies for the group’s various programs, they will be brought together under the direction of Claude Foisy, vice-president of marketing for TVA Group.
Quebecor Content also announced the appointments of original content directors who are specialists in each of these genres: Variety, Entertainment and Lifestyle, and Fiction and Documentary.
Under the direction of Johanne Ménard, general director of variety, entertainment and lifestyle, Kathleen Vachonhas been appointed director of entertainment and lifestyle. Vachon joins Quebecor Content after having spent the last two years at Groupe V Média as brand director for content and development. She has also held several production positions throughout her career.
Pierre Taschereau remains director of variety formats. He joined TVA Group in 2001, then Quebecor Content in 2006 where he held management roles in the variety sector. He has developed and supervised titles such as Révolution, La Voix, Star Académie, Le Banquier, Gala ARTIS and Salut Bonjour.
Under the responsibility of Nadège Pouyez, general director of fiction and documentary, Caroline Singher-Boucher has been appointed director of documentary content. She has spent the last six years in the lifestyle and documentary sector of Quebecor Content and helped develop titles like Face à la rue, Autiste bientôt majeur and Un Zoo pas comme les autres.
Olivier Aghaby is director of fictional content. From 2012 to 2016, he was creative director at Quebecor Content and led the team responsible for the development of original formats intended for Quebec and international markets.
On the TVA side, Maya Meyouhas becomes director of marketing, strategy and specialty channels, TVA Group, and continues to work within the marketing team. Her strategic contribution to the TVA Group brands will allow segmentation, brand development and distribution to evolve, says the press release.
Foisy also announced the appointment of Catherine Francoeur as marketing director, TVA. She will be responsible for managing the brand image of TVA and its programs and will develop, in collaboration with the various sectors, their deployment strategies.
Francoeur has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and brand management. With Quebecor since 2011, she was until recently brand manager, fiction at Quebecor Content.
