MONTREAL – Quebec private television’s icons—Astral Media, TVA, and TQS—are coming together once again to promote the province’s cultural diversity by holding the second edition of Télédiversité.
The event will be held in Montreal on May 25 in Studio F at TVA. It will be a day-long discussion to exchange ideas on the challenges and opportunities in showcasing diversity on French-language private television today.
Last year’s inaugural event attracted more than 160 participants from a number of ethnocultural and Aboriginal communities. This year’s event will again be a forum for the major players in Québec French-language private television as well as artists from ethnocultural and Aboriginal communities, and for journalists, creators, producers, and technicians, and those who want to work in the industry. A goal of Télédiversité 2006 is to ensure a fair and accurate reflection of Quebec’s cultural diversity on camera and behind the scenes.
