Quebec cooperative Diffusion Fermont choses Adara for IP video delivery solution

TORONTO – Adara Technologies announced last week Quebec-based TV and Internet service provider Diffusion Fermont (La Coopérative de la Télévision Communautaire de Fermont) has chosen Adara’s myCatapulTVe IP video solution to serve its customers.

The myCatapulTVe product “is specifically designed to accelerate broadband growth for service providers, leveraging such features as free onscreen advertising of provider internet services on every fixed and mobile TV screen,” according to an Adara press release.

Diffusion Fermont, which serves approximately 1,000 subscribers in the mining community of Fermont, Que., near the Quebec-Labrador border, plans to “super-bundle live linear programming and OTT streaming apps, universal search and multi-screen delivery” using Adara’s IP video solution, the release says.

This follows an announcement earlier this year of an exclusive agreement between Adara and the Fédération des Coopératives de Câblodistribution et de Télécommunication du Québec, which represents 22 cable and telecommunications co-operatives and non-profit organizations in Quebec, including Diffusion Fermont.
