TORONTO – Proper Television, a factual entertainment company, today announced that it has acquired international television distribution company BuzzTaxi Communications
The deal marks Proper Television’s first foray into the content distribution business. In a release, it says BuzzTaxi Communications’ founding partners Jenna Bourdeau and Natalie Vinet will remain on the executive team as vice-presidents. There will be no personnel changes for either company as a result of the acquisition. Rebranding details will be announced shortly.

“It’s the obvious next step in the evolution of Proper. Acquiring a cracking company like BuzzTaxi means we can hit the ground running with our growing number of original series, as well as aggressively seek third-party content,” said Guy O’Sullivan, Proper Television president. “Jenna and Natalie have spent more than a decade out in the marketplace and their know-how will be invaluable as we grow the Proper brand.”
Proper Television is the creator of factual programming series including Canada’s Worst Driver, Storage Wars Canada, and the recently announced MasterChef Canada.
BuzzTaxi Communications was established in 1999 and has acquired an extensive international client base and factual content catalogue, distributing titles such as Les Stroud’s Survivorman series, Canada’s Handyman Challenge and Real Designing Women from Firvalley Productions.
