BANFF, AB – The Banff World Media Festival has issued a call for entries to the 2014 Rockies Program Competition, an internationally celebrated award that is given out at the event each June.
Commonly referred to as ‘The Rockies’, Banff’s program competition celebrates the “best of the best” in international television content, and usually attracts over a thousand entries from more than 40 countries annually.
Successful nominees will be selected by a group of global industry leaders representing excellence in the genres of Scripted, Factual, Entertainment, and Youth.
“The acclaimed Banff Program Competition provides an important opportunity for the world’s most innovative producers of entertainment content to celebrate their contribution to excellence in programming,” said Ferne Cohen, executive director of the Banff World Media Festival, in the news release. “In June 2014, Banff will once again feature an exciting program second to none, focusing on the new technologies, conversations and trends that are shaping the global media landscape today."
The 35th annual Banff World Media Festival will take place June 8-11, 2014 at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta.
