OTTAWA – The Canadian Media Production Association (CMPA), formerly known as the Canadian Film and Television Production Association, is nearing the end of its rebranding initiative that began in June.
“The objective of our rebranding is to reflect the fact that the Association, like the hundreds of producers we represent across Canada, is keeping pace with change in the production sector”, president and CEO Norm Bolen wrote in a message to members on Monday. “The most visible aspect of our rebranding is our new name, the Canadian Media Production Association. But the transformation of the organization does not end there. Our rebranding will also directly influence our strategies and our work processes.”
Bolen said that all business will be conducted under the new name, effective immediately. Changes to the domain name of the organization’s new email addresses will be effective September 7, 2010, and its new website www.cmpa.ca is scheduled to launch early next year.
