Primus offers SMBs new high-speed broadband network

TORONTO – Primus Canada has unveiled a new high-speed broadband network for small and medium business which will support Internet-intensive applications and technology, the company announced Tuesday.

BEX – Business Ethernet Xtended is delivered over existing infrastructure which Primus says will allow for an easy and fast deployment for customers. With the rapid migration of voice and computing services to the cloud as the driving force, this symmetrical Internet solution with fibre-like performance and built-in redundancy is available at “a fraction of the cost”. The speeds achieved are sustained by bonding multiple loops thereby increasing reliability and providing users identical upload and download speeds.

"Primus Canada is continually looking for ways to offer businesses the most up-to-date and leading-edge technology that will allow them to work more efficiently and effectively," said A.J. Byers, EVP of Business Services, in the press release. "Companies are now able to take advantage of increased bandwidth at prices that are more affordable than traditional services."

Primus Business Services, a division of Primus Telecommunications Canada, is a national data centre and managed services solutions provider, offering services that include virtual storage and security, disaster recovery and cloud computing, voice, and IP connectivity solutions to more than 60,000 Canadian companies.
