TORONTO – Primus has expanded its VoIP services to an additional 240 exchanges across Canada, specifically in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
The alternative communications carrier said that the expansion is part of its continued investment to bring Canadians greater access and choice.
"Over the last three years, tens of thousands of businesses and consumers have selected Primus VoIP services which are feature-rich, and designed to drive cost savings and productivity improvements," said Primus Business Services’ EVP AJ Byers, in Wednesday’s announcement. "With today's expansion of our footprint by 240 exchanges, approximately four million more Canadians have expanded choice in services so they too can realize greater value for their money."
Wholesale customers in these new exchanges will be able to access a range of services connecting to Primus' national and international footprint. Home phone customers may choose from plans starting at $9.99 per month, while business customers may select from fully hosted phone systems, SIP Trunking services and other Voice over IP solutions starting at $7.95 per month.
