OTTAWA — Prime Time in Ottawa, the Canadian Media Producers Association’s pre-eminent conference for producers, broadcasters, television and film in Canada, is celebrating its 25th anniversary next year and will feature a new Producers Meeting Lounge where executives can do business at reserved tables in a quiet setting.
Presented in partnership with C21Media, CMPA’s Prime Time 2020 conference is scheduled to take place January 29-31 in Ottawa.
Companies taking part in the Producers Meeting Lounge will receive:
- A reserved table for four in the Producers Meeting Lounge during the entire duration of the conference
- Branded tabletop signage
- Logo branding on welcoming signage
- Access to refreshments in the Producers Meeting Lounge
Tables are available at a discounted rate exclusively for CMPA members for a limited time. Space is extremely limited, and tables go on sale to all delegates as of November 11, 2019.
Table pricing is as follows:
- CMPA members: $1,500
- Non-members: $2,000 (starting November 11)

Early-bird registration for individual delegates is available until November 29. By registering early, non-members can save $200 by taking advantage of the early-bird rate of $1,130. The early-bird rate for CMPA members is $1,025.
Prime Time 2020’s organizers are offering an additional incentive for attendees to register early — all delegates who register by the November 29 early-bird deadline will be automatically entered for a chance to win an Oculus Quest, an all-in-one virtual-reality system. The Oculus Quest early-bird promotion is sponsored by the Canadian Retransmission Collective (CRC). The CRC makes it easy for producers to maximize and collect Canadian-territory retransmission royalties, and notably has distributed $300 million to producers to date.
In addition, Prime Time 2020 organizers announced its blocks of discounted rooms at the Westin Ottawa (conference venue) and Les Suites Ottawa are now available.
