TORONTO – Astral Media Radio is inviting agencies, advertisers and media to see the first Montreal radio results measured by the portable people meter, in real-time on the web, starting at 2:15 p.m. this Friday, November 21.

Alicia Olson-Keating, general manager of research and marketing services for Astral Media Radio for English Canada will take 20 minutes to present and analyze the first commercial results from the new BBM radio measurement technology for the Montreal markets.

Anyone interested can click on www.astralmediaradio.com/ppm at 2:15 on Friday “for a simple, clear and free live transmission by one of the industry’s best known specialists,” said the company. “Her observations will help you understand the impact of this new BBM measurement tool, and use that understanding to increase the effectiveness of your radio advertising campaigns.”

Anyone who wants to ask questions in advance can submit them in an e-mail at bbm@radio.astral.com.

After the November 21 presentation, the recorded broadcast will be available at http://infoppm.astralmediaradio.ca for review.

This is the third in a series of web conference initiatives by Astral Media Radio. The real-time analysis of the debut of PPMs in the area was preceded by six research and development department information and training capsules released on the web.

The six capsules cover the history of Portable People Meters, how they work, and the impact of this audience measurement tool. These capsules are still available for viewing at http://infoppm.astralmediaradio.ca.
