CALGARY – Independent Canadian specialty TV service The Philanthropy Channel wants to connect with viewers who are making Canada and the world a better place.
The channel has booked an excursion next month to meet business leader and philanthropist Sir Richard Branson on his very own Necker Island as part of an international leadership gathering to discuss how stories can ignite positive change in the world. The event's theme of ‘Inspiring Stories, Inspiring Change’ brings together like-minded individuals to share ideas on the power of stories as a driving force for good in the world.
Philanthropy Channel founder Peter Clarke calls the meeting with Branson “simply a dream come true".
"For this event, we are looking for stories about people who are out there igniting positive change and making a difference in our world today", Clarke said in the news release. "Especially those who might not be getting the attention they deserve. We plan to share these stories on Necker Island with this very exclusive group, including Richard Branson."
