PGA extends SiriusXM broadcast agreement for another five years

TORONTO — The PGA of America and SiriusXM announced a five-year extension to their long-term broadcasting agreement as well as the launch of a new weekly talk show that will debut on August 8.

As part of the extended broadcast agreement, SiriusXM will continue to deliver live audio broadcasts of PGA of America events, including the PGA Championship and the 2020 Ryder Cup, to Canadian subscribers nationwide.

The new weekly talk show — PGA of America Radio — will air each Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET and will focus on delivering expert PGA member instruction and analysis, major PGA of America golf events, featured programs designed to grow the game, and a unique insider’s perspective on golf from special guests across the industry.

“The reach of SiriusXM is a difference-maker, and the PGA of America is delighted to extend our partnership,” said Jeff Price, chief commercial officer for the PGA of America, in a news release. “The passion and excitement of the PGA Championship and 2020 Ryder Cup will be presented to an engaged audience through state-of-the-art platforms and devices. Additionally, the exciting new PGA of America Radio show will serve as a weekly destination for golf fans to uniquely connect with PGA members and grow the game.”

Canadian subscribers can listen to this programming on Sirius channel 208 and XM channel 92, while those with streaming access can listen online, on-the-go with the SiriusXM mobile app and at home on a wide variety of connected devices, including smart TVs, Apple TV, PlayStation, Roku, Sonos speakers and more.
