TORONTO — Production company Peacock Alley Entertainment announced today the hiring of Mary Anne Waterhouse for the newly created role of executive vice-president of content production.
An award-winning producer whose experience spans three decades and more than 70 productions, Waterhouse will be responsible for building and leading Peacock Alley’s content production team and further growing the company’s development and service-producing slate alongside president Carrie Mudd, says the company’s press release announcing Waterhouse’s appointment.
Her hiring follows the internationally successful release of Tiny Pretty Things for Netflix, in which Mudd served as an executive producer and Waterhouse as a producer.
“The stars have finally aligned for Mary Anne to join Peacock Alley,” said Mudd, in the press release. “We’re excited about our current production roster, and what Mary Anne brings to our development slate gives us an inimitable edge. Mary Anne’s connections and operational expertise make her an invaluable addition at a time of exciting growth.”
Prior to joining Peacock Alley, Waterhouse completed production on Nightbooks, an upcoming family feature for Netflix, made entirely during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her previous notable production credits include the dystopian action saga Elysium starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster, the cult horror The Cabin In The Woods starring Chris Hemsworth, Kodachrome directed by Canadian Mark Raso and starring Jason Sudeikis, Ed Harris and Elizabeth Olsen, the indie feature Fido starring Carrie-Anne Moss and Billy Connolly.
