VANCOUVER – OUTtv is teaming up with New Zealand broadcaster TVNZ on a new AVoD service offering its LGBTQI+ series, movies and documentaries.

The national LGBTQ television network said Wednesday that a selection of its programming will be available to stream free of charge through TVNZ’s OnDemand platform, available at www.tvnz.co.nz/outtv

This international expansion follows 12 months of Canadian growth for OUTtv and OUTtvGo with year on year subscriptions up by over 450% and monthly streams increasing by more than 900% over the same period.

“Our expansion into New Zealand is an important milestone for OUTtv as we introduce our channel and programming to new audiences”, said OUTtv CEO Brad Danks, in the news release.  “We will add new series, movies and documentaries for Kiwi viewers every month.  We could not ask for a better partner in New Zealand then TVNZ. We also welcome the opportunity to forge new partnerships internationally to build on our efforts in Canada and New Zealand. This is just the beginning of what we expect to be a busy year of international expansion.”

In New Zealand, OUTtv will be available through TVNZ’s OnDemand platform on Apple iOS and Android devices, Apple TV, Chromecast, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Surface and Mobile.
