LGBTQ+ streaming service OUTtv announced Wednesday it is continuing to expand its U.K. footprint with the launch of its free ad-supported television (FAST) channel OUTflix Proud on Freeview in the U.K.
Freeview is the U.K.’s largest TV platform, used in more than 18 million homes and on 10 million main TV sets, according to an OUTtv press release. Originally a broadcast-only service, Freeview also offers FAST channels facilitated by Dubai-based Global Distribution Services. OUTflix Proud, a joint venture of OUTtv and Fuse Media, is Freeview’s first dedicated LGBTQ+ channel.
Starting June 18, Freeview audiences can access OUTflix’s programming mix including LGBTQ+ original series, reality shows, documentaries and feature films without a subscription, as part of Freeview’s lineup. Programming includes reality competition series Sew Fierce, LGBTQ+ dating series For the Love of DILFs, live U.K. comedy series Live at the Queer Comedy Club and Stand Up Specials: London, and original specials Trixie Mattel: Skinny Legend and Katya: Help Me I’m Dying.

OUTflix Proud is also available on Netgem, Rewarded TV and Channelbox in the U.K., and OUTflix’s subscription video-on-demand service is available in the U.K. via OUTflix.com and the OUTflix Apple TV channel.
