Organizers announce record attendance at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2008

PHILADELPHIA – The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) announced Friday that 11,000 cable telecommunications professionals –300 more than last year – attended the 25th anniversary SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2008 in Philadelphia. Organizers also said that Expo, SCTE’s flagship event, featured a sold-out, technology-focused exhibit hall and 20-plus technical workshops this year. The Expo started on June 24 Tuesday and runs until today at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. “Expo has exceeded expectations these past few days in Philadelphia,” said SCTE President/CEO John Clark. “Our attendees have benefited greatly from Expo’s all-engineering, all-the-time atmosphere throughout the convention center.”
