Opengear hires regional sales manager for Canada

EDISON, N.J. — U.S.-based business continuity solution provider Opengear today announced it has hired a regional sales manager to help meet demand in Canada for the company’s line of network automation and management products.

The company’s Resilience Gateway products provide out-of-band management, failover to cellular, network automation, and remote network monitoring and management, to deliver resilient access and automation to critical IT infrastructure, even when the network is down.

Opengear says in its press release the company has doubled its sales in Canada since 2017, and its channel partner program here currently accounts for more than 15% of Opengear’s North American resellers.

The company has appointed Joel Sheppard as its regional sales manager for Canada, where Sheppard will lead sales and strategic partnerships throughout the country, while supporting and expanding Opengear’s growing roster of channel sales partners, says the press release.

With almost a decade of reseller sales experience, Sheppard previously worked for CDW Canada and Zones. Most recently he was an enterprise software-as-a-service (SaaS) account executive at NiTorom Inc., a leading infrastructure monitoring provider based in Toronto.
